Janet Cooper took ownership of Angela’s Bridal in 2008. Her goal is to bring joy to her customers by helping them feel their best when wearing their bridal gown, something she learned from her mother (a bridal consultant for 33 years). The women behind the reason Janet does what she does: "My mother came home from work everyday with a big smile on her face, she loves what she did".  Janet's vision was to create an exceptional bridal shopping experience in a relaxed environment, delivered by knowledgeable consultants, against a modern décor. Paired with the ensuring the perfect fit, when it came to the alterations of the bridal gown, preformed by expectational skilled seamstress for a breath taking look.

Janet has over 25 years of experience in gown design and tailoring, She is a graduate of Penn State University with an MFA in Costume Design and technology. Prior to Angela’s she worked in Theater Costume Design for 15 years, and served as Head of Wardrobe at the prestigious English National Opera in London, England. And before that, The Chicken Shed theatre, an all inclusive theater in London. There she really learned how clothing responds to all body sizes and shapes and therfore, how to find solutions for unique needs. 

Giving back to the community is something she holds so dear. For several years she hosted Visionary, an event to showcase the vendors in the bridal industry, a non for profit that raised money for Little Smiles. She also raised over 30k for the LLS, in 2016 in honor of one of her brides and in memory of her grandmother.

Janet’s commitment to every Angela’s bride is simple: You will have an amazing bridal gown experience from the beginning to ever after. She instills this ethic in every step of the gown selection process and costomer service and it shows – customers rave about their Angela’s Bridal experience.  We can’t wait to share your love story with you!

Katie, Janet's boss-  And store manager. Katie keeps each department organized and moving seamlessly, and making Bridal dreams come true from start to finish. She has a way with making every Bride feel so comfortable and confident. 

"My favorite part of my job is the relationships that I develop with our brides. I always joke that their pickup feels like I'm their mom and I'm sending them off on their first day of school! Every bride is unique, and I love seeing their vision come to life! Katie wears many hats, but my god does she look good in all of them!"

MELIORA by Vera Wang. This dress stopped us in our tracks, and from that moment I knew we NEEDED Vera Wang at our store.

Meghan the bride, makeup and dog whisperer. 

"I have been a bridal stylist here since 2016. My introduction to the industry was by way of a makeup brush 10yrs ago. I fell in love with the fashion aspect of the industry. There is nothing I love more than having the opportunity to work with women to help them feel their absolute best on what is such an important day. When I am not styling brides, you can find me at the gym, around Troy or snuggling my precious 3 precious pugs."

LINDSEY 

Becoming a bridal stylist Is something that has always been an interest of mine. I joined the LS team in 2022 and so far, to be a part of the experience in helping a bride find her dream dress is a one of a kind feeling, especially when they say, yes! Outside of the bridal shop I currently own my own hair salon as well, right in downtown Troy!  I’ve been a hairstylist for over 10 years and was so happy to expand my career further into the bridal industry. 

My fave Dress past or present is:
I love Lis Simon and how customizable they are with their gowns. If you can dream it, they can do it! And having a bride with a dress customized to her, is just so unheard of!
